Aydin Majidov

A seasoned Mechanical Engineer and maintenance specialist with extensive experience in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of diesel generators, with particular expertise in Caterpillar and FG Wilson equipment. This role draws on strong expertise in rotating equipment and a proven ability to implement practical, cost-effective maintenance strategies, including for critical offshore systems such as fire water pumps.

Previously worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, managing the overhaul and maintenance of critical equipment including diesel generators and fire water pumps for both offshore and onshore BP-operated projects. Additional responsibilities included warranty administration and the preparation of technical documentation, reflecting a strong commitment to quality, compliance, and technical accuracy.

Earlier career experience includes serving as a Commissioning Engineer with Absheron Mechanics LLC, where key responsibilities involved the commissioning of Cummins engines for marine projects such as air-cushion barges and crane vessels. Worked closely with international engineering teams and prepared essential commissioning documentation to support successful project delivery.

Also held the position of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at UDT-Texnika LLC, where maintenance strategies were developed and executed for a broad range of heavy-duty engines and vehicles. Demonstrated strong capability in preventive maintenance and electronic troubleshooting, contributing to improved reliability and operational performance of equipment supporting offshore oil and gas activities.
