I am Dr. Islam Hamed Ali, a seasoned Reservoir Sedimentologist and Certified Trainer based in Cairo, Egypt, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and fostering professional growth in the energy sector.
Since January 2016, I have led the Task Force Team for the Zohr Field at Petroshorouk, a joint venture with Eni, where I have successfully designed and implemented appraisal and development programs, conducted detailed reservoir characterization, and managed critical coring operations. In July 2023, I was appointed Assistant General Manager of Deep-Water Sedimentological Studies at Belayim Petroleum Company, where I continue to drive excellence in managing complex sedimentological projects. My career also includes impactful roles as a Senior Sedimentologist and Geologist at Horus Geoscience Ltd., where I applied advanced technologies to optimize reservoir performance.
In addition to my technical and leadership roles, I am passionate about knowledge sharing and professional development. I have designed and delivered specialized training courses in sedimentology and petrography, equipping professionals with the tools and insights needed to excel in reservoir characterization and management.
