Terms of use
The mission of Technical Education Academy is aimed at enhancing overall competency and professionalism in the professional environment through the creation of the future of technical education. With us, any professional in their field can create and share educational materials from anywhere on the planet, as well as access them. To keep our platform services safe, we ask students and instructors to adhere to certain rules. Our Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") apply to all activities on the Technical Education Academy platform.
When publishing educational materials, it is necessary to accept the Instructor Terms. You must also agree to the section on the processing of personal data in our Privacy Policy. If you use Tecedu Business as a subscription for your company, you need to additionally review the Privacy Statement.
When publishing educational materials, it is necessary to accept the Instructor Terms. You must also agree to the section on the processing of personal data in our Privacy Policy. If you use Tecedu Business as a subscription for your company, you need to additionally review the Privacy Statement.
For residents of Canada and the USA, all disputes under our Terms will be resolved through arbitration, not in court. Instructors, as well as students, waive certain rights to participate in class actions after agreement (more details on this can be found in the "Dispute Resolution" section).
User account
To take full advantage of the Technical Education Academy platform, you need to create a personal account in the system. Keep your password in a secure place, as all registered users on the site are responsible for actions related to their account. If you suspect a leak of personal information, be sure to report it to Support Services. We operate in two languages - English and Russian. It is important to have the age of consent for participating in online services that are in effect in your country before using Technical Education Academy.
Only through a personal account can you access, purchase, and view educational programs, as well as publish your courses. When filling out the registration form, it is important to provide accurate information about yourself, including a current email address. The user assumes full responsibility for their account, including any losses incurred due to unauthorized use of the account. This once again emphasizes the importance of being careful with your password, not sharing your data with third parties, and not using someone else's account.
If you lose your password, you can contact support to regain access to your personal account. You will need to provide our specialists with the personal information you entered when filling out the registration form. In the event of a user's death, their account will be closed. It is prohibited to share your login information with anyone else, so our platform, Technical Education Academy, will not be involved in disputes between students and instructors if someone decides to share their personal login details.
If a user becomes aware that their account is being used without permission, they should immediately contact support (complaints are accepted in both English and Russian). Staff may request some information about the user to verify the account holder's details. Users must be at least 18 years old. If we learn that a user is below the minimum allowed age, we will simply delete the account. Instructors need to provide personal documents to verify their identity before publishing materials. If desired, users can always close their account through the settings in their personal cabinet.
Lifetime access to training materials
After registering for any course or to gain access to other materials, the user acquires the right to view them through the services of our platform, Technical Education Academy. Materials can only be used for informational purposes. It is prohibited to copy, share, or sell lectures, videos, and texts. We provide all users with lifetime access to the acquired materials, except in cases where we had to remove information from the site due to our policy, legislation, or to register as part of subscription plans.
According to our Instructor Terms, instructors who post their courses here grant Technical Education Academy a license to provide access to their materials for students. As a result, our platform can sublicense educational data to other registered users. If a student registers for a course or other materials, they may receive the right from our platform to study the information. All data (both paid and free) is offered to users under a license, not sold outright.
Such a license does not grant students the right to sell materials in any form, including exchanging and sharing data with other registered users, buyers, or illegally uploading videos to their devices, or providing access to them on torrent sites. Our platform grants students a limited license to view the materials for which they have paid the required fees, strictly for non-commercial use, that is, for gaining knowledge. Using the materials for other purposes is prohibited unless a representative of Technical Education Academy has given written permission to do so.
Students receive lifetime access when registering for a course, but the administration of Technical Education Academy reserves the right to revoke the license to access materials at any time if we determine that their use contradicts the law or our policy. For example, if a student enrolls in a course and gains access to materials that are the subject of a copyright claim, or if the administration finds that the information violates our Code of Conduct, Trust, and Safety rules. Lifetime access is not available through subscription plans or for other functions and services related to the course. For instance, an instructor may decide to temporarily stop providing feedback to students for personal reasons. To avoid any future confusion, we clarify that lifetime access primarily means access to the data, not to the instructor.
Course authors cannot transfer licenses for their materials directly to students, and any such direct transfer of rights is considered invalid on our platform and constitutes a violation of the Terms.
Credits, payment and refunds
Users agree to use the payment options provided by Technical Education Academy when conducting transactions. If there is any dissatisfaction with the purchased materials, users can request a refund within 30 days from the date of purchasing the course, either in the form of a monetary refund or credits.
Pricing policy
The cost of materials and courses is determined based on the Instructor Terms and our Marketing Policy. We regularly conduct promotions, offer special deals, and hold course sales, during which prices for materials are reduced for a specified period. The purchase price of a course is the price at the time the purchase is completed.
When a user logs into their account, the prices offered for courses will differ from the prices for users who have not yet registered or logged in, as some bonuses are designed exclusively for new visitors. If a student is in a country where a usage tax, sales tax, or VAT is applicable, our platform will remit the tax amount to the local budget. We bear direct responsibility for this. Depending on the student’s place of residence, the cost of the course will vary, and the tax will be added to the course price during the checkout process.
Payments
When purchasing materials on our platform, you agree to pay the fees and taxes, and to have the charges deducted from your bank card to cover such fees and taxes. Technical Education Academy collaborates only with verified payment systems, offering a wide range of payment options and utilizing advanced data encryption algorithms, ensuring the personal information of our registered users is secure. Payment methods are regularly updated on the site, so please review our Privacy Policy.
It is prohibited to use unauthorized payment methods for materials. If your payment method is invalid but the student has gained access to the materials, you must pay the applicable fees within 30 days of receiving notification from us. If no additional payments are received from the student, we reserve the right to block the user's access to the materials.
Refund of paid funds and credits
Initially, students receive a preview of the course with an introductory module. After reviewing the preview section, the student automatically agrees that the material is suitable in terms of quality and content. There is also an option to request a refund from Technical Education Academy within 30 days of purchasing the course during the preview period of the introductory part of the course. This refund policy does not apply to Subscription Plans, which are specified earlier, nor does it apply if the user proceeds to the main part of the course, skipping or reviewing the main content.
We reserve the right to issue a refund using the same payment method from which the payment was originally made by the student. This will depend on the capabilities of our service partners. Refunds are not available after the 30-day guarantee period. If previously purchased materials were canceled for legal reasons or according to our Terms, a refund can be issued at any time. Technical Education Academy may also provide a refund beyond the 30-day period if account fraud is detected.
To request a refund, you must submit an application through your personal account. The Instructor Terms state that instructors agree that students have the right to receive such refunds. If the platform management determines that students are abusing the refund policy at their discretion, such as studying a significant portion of the material before submitting a refund request through their personal account, the administration of Technical Education Academy may simply deny the user the ability to submit complaints in the future. Additionally, the account may be blocked, and access to the Services may be restricted. If an account is blocked, the user loses the right to a refund.
Gift and promotional codes
Periodically, the Technical Education Academy platform and our partners offer promo codes to students. Some of these come in the form of gift or promotional credits, which can be used within your account to purchase educational materials, provided the promo code terms apply to these courses. Other promotions may be directly targeted at specific materials.
It is important to remember that promotions and promo codes have a limited validity period, so you must use them before the offer expires. Our gift and promotional credits cannot be exchanged for cash, except where permitted by law. The terms of partner promotions are governed by their refund policies. If you have multiple promo codes, our platform will determine which ones can be applied to your purchase. For complete information about promotions and promo codes, you can refer to the support section and the rules for using gift codes that accompany the special offers.
Training materials and rules of cooperation
You may use our platform, Technical Education Academy, only for lawful purposes. Instructors are responsible for all courses they post on the platform. Questions and answers, reviews, courses, and publications must comply with our Rules, the law, and respect the intellectual property rights of others.
We may block an account if we detect serious violations. If you believe someone has infringed on your copyright, you should notify us. Users of the platform may not register or use the Services for illegal purposes. Using Technical Education Academy must comply not only with our Rules but also with the local and national laws of your country. Registered users are fully responsible for adhering to the laws of their country.
Students can ask questions to their instructors, inquire about other courses they are enrolled in, and post reviews of the materials. Some information may be provided by the instructor to their students in the form of homework or tests. Do not send materials that do not belong to you personally.
Instructors on the Technical Education Academy platform are permitted to post courses and communicate with students who are enrolled in their materials. In each case, they must comply with the law and the rights of others. It is prohibited to upload information that violates local and national laws and regulations of the instructor's country of residence. Registered users are responsible for the questions, answers, courses, and other materials they have posted or plan to upload to Technical Education Academy. It is important to ensure that users understand all copyright restrictions outlined in the Instructor Terms before submitting materials for publication.
If we notice that information posted on our site violates the rights of others (such as intellectual property rights, or if it is related to illegal activities) or if we consider the materials to be suspicious or unlawful (e.g., the instructor may be impersonating another person), we will immediately remove the courses from the site. Technical Education Academy always complies with copyright protection laws. Please review our Copyright Protection Policy.
Technical Education Academy reserves the right to enforce our Terms at our discretion. We may restrict or block a user's actions on the site, or delete their account at any time. We may notify the Instructor and Student about this or choose not to.
These rules regarding blocking apply to users who:
- Have not paid any fees on time;
- Have violated our User Terms on the platform;
- Have created fraudulent refund requests;
- Are required by law enforcement or government agencies;
- Have been inactive on the site for a prolonged period;
- Are affected by unforeseen technical malfunctions or issues.
If we suspect that a user is engaging in fraudulent or illegal activities, we also have the right to restrict access to the account, remove it from the system, and delete all materials. Under our Terms, we may retain your courses on the site even if the account has been restricted or deleted. Instructors agree that Technical Education Academy is not liable to them or any other party for deleting personal accounts, blocking accounts, or restricting access to services on the platform.
If an Instructor publishes materials that infringe on someone's copyright or trademark rights, they should notify our administration. According to our Instructor Terms, we require them to respect the intellectual property rights of others. For more information on this matter, please refer to our Copyright Policy.
Technical Education Academy's right to published materials
Instructors retain ownership of the materials they upload to our platform, including educational courses. Technical Education Academy reserves the right to distribute this information through advertisements on other websites. Materials from instructors or students remain their property. By posting courses and other materials on our platform, users automatically agree to allow Technical Education Academy to reuse and share the materials, but this does not mean that users lose any ownership rights over them.
If an instructor plans to upload educational content, they should first read the Instructor Terms, particularly the terms of licensing materials. By publishing any information on the site, all registered users grant us the right to use such materials, share them with others, promote the courses through our channels, and make changes at our discretion.
By uploading any publications to the site, all users automatically grant us a royalty-free license with the right to sublicense, copy, process, and use the materials for our purposes, including the user's name and images, through any means or methods of distribution (whether current at the date of reading these Terms or developed in the future). This includes providing the materials obtained from all users to other companies, individuals, or organizations that work with Technical Education Academy for syndication, publication, or broadcast, and using any information for marketing purposes.
Additionally, all users waive all rights to privacy, public distribution, or other similar rights as provided by applicable law and agree to the use of their materials without any compensation. Furthermore, by uploading data to the platform, instructors and students declare and warrant that they have all the rights and authority over the materials they publish.
The use of courses and other materials on Technical Education Academy is at your own risk
Anyone can use the features of Technical Education Academy to publish their materials, interact with other users, and engage in teaching activities. Like on other platforms, when publishing materials and interacting with others, something might go wrong, so it is important to understand that you use our Services at your own risk.
Our platform does not involve legal verification and control of uploaded materials; we do not have the legal authority for this. Therefore, we do not conduct editorial control over the courses that are already posted or will be published on the site, and we do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or relevance of the information in them. If a student registers on the site to access an instructor's materials, they must rely on the information provided at their own risk.
By using our Services, users may encounter materials on the site that could contain questionable data or be offensive to others. The administration of Technical Education Academy is not responsible for this. The student assumes full responsibility for the decisions made and the trust placed in the instructor during the registration process and the purchase of materials.
If a platform user works directly with a student or instructor, they should be cautious when sharing personal information. Technical Education Academy cannot control the actions of users regarding information they have received from other users on the site. However, we advise you not to share your personal phone number, email address, passport details, or other personal information with others for your own safety.
As part of this platform's operations, we do not employ instructors and are not responsible for their collaboration with students. We are also not responsible for any losses, disputes, or claims that may arise from the behavior of platform users towards each other. While using our Services, you may find links to other websites that we do not manage or own, and we are not responsible for the content or other aspects of these sites, including the collection of your personal information. We recommend that you review the Privacy Policies of such websites.

- Accessing or searching the platform by any methods (using third-party software) other than those offered by the platform for registered users. Web scraping, search bots, bypass programs, and other applications for accessing the Services are also prohibited.
- Using our services to send information with a false source (sending emails where the recipient is Technical Education Academy), interrupting, blocking another user's access to the site, sending viruses, posting excessive comments, overloading our server, sending spam, or other bulk mailings that create an excessive load on the platform's operation.
Subscription Terms
This section specifies additional terms that apply to the use of our educational materials available by subscription as a student (this category is "Subscription Plans"). By using this option, users agree to the additional requirements and conditions outlined in this section. It is important to note that the use of Tecedu for Business is not subject to the current Terms you are reading, but is governed by the agreement between our platform, Technical Education Academy, and the company that subscribed on the website.
Subscription Plans
Upon subscribing to our Subscription Plan, registered users receive a limited license to view and access a range of materials included in the subscription plan through our Services. There are exceptions – the provision of a lifetime access license, which is granted to users upon registration under the subscription plans (information is provided in the section above "Lifetime Access and Admission to Educational Materials").
The cost of access, the amount of data, and student capabilities are determined by the purchased or renewed subscription. Users are prohibited from granting access to information to others, sharing their logins and passwords to the account.
Technical Education Academy may revoke a student’s license at any time and at its discretion if the user no longer utilizes the services of the Subscription Plan. Additional information on this matter is provided in the section above "Lifetime Access and Admission to Educational Materials.".
Interaction and work with clients
A student can cancel their subscription at any time by following the steps indicated on the support page. If a Subscription Plan is canceled, access to it is automatically terminated on the last day of the billing period. This cancellation of access to future materials does not imply a refund or reimbursement of fees previously paid for the subscription, unless otherwise provided by law. In other words, canceling the subscription does not block the user’s account on Technical Education Academy, and users can continue to use our Services for their purposes.
Free trials and renewals
You can start your subscription to the Subscription Plan with a trial period, which is offered to all registered users for free. The duration of the free trial period is specified during course registration. Our platform, Technical Education Academy, reserves the right to specify the trial usage period of course materials and to limit the right of users to participate. At any time, we may cancel the subscription to free materials or suspend such a promotion if we determine that a student is not eligible to participate.
After the end of the free trial period, the student will be charged the subscription fee for the next billing period. The subscription will automatically renew (monthly or annually) unless the user cancels it before the end of the trial period. To review the programs, current prices, and the duration of the trial period, please visit the support page.
Payment and Billing
The subscription fee for the course will be specified at the time of purchase. Please visit the support page to check the payment dates, amounts, and other details relevant to your account and subscription. Additionally, we may include taxes in your subscription payments as outlined in the section above 'Credits, Payment, and Refunds.' We do not issue refunds or compensate for credits for used periods unless otherwise required by applicable law.
To subscribe to a Subscription Plan, you need to provide your payment method on the website. By subscribing to a Subscription Plan and providing payment information during the order process, you authorize us and our payment service providers to process payments using the provided payment method. At the end of the subscription term, Technical Education Academy will automatically renew the subscription for the same term using the payment method specified in your settings.
By updating the payment method through our payment service providers (as described in the section above 'Credits, Payment, and Refunds'), users authorize the deduction of subscription renewal fees according to the new payment format. If Technical Education Academy is unable to process a payment automatically, or if a user disputes a payment, the administration may terminate the subscription.
The platform also reserves the right to change our 'Subscription Plan' and adjust Service prices at any time at its discretion. Any price or subscription term changes take effect immediately upon notifying users, except where required by applicable law.
Subscription Disclaimer
The platform makes no guarantees regarding the availability of educational materials within the Subscription Plan. We may block access to them at any time or change the features of any subscription plan at our discretion. This is further detailed in the section below 'Disclaimer.'
Other Legal Terms
Our Terms contain lengthy and (possibly) tedious details for many, but they need to be understood and known, as they include important legal terms that will protect registered users and our platform from potential force majeure situations, unpleasant consequences, disputes, and litigations.
Binding Agreement
Users of the platform agree that by registering, accessing, or using our Services, they agree to enter into a legally binding agreement with Technical Education Academy. If a user does not agree with the Terms or any part of them, it is better not to register on the site or use the features of our educational platform. If a registered user is an Instructor, they accept the 'Terms' and use the Services of our platform on behalf of a legal entity, guaranteeing that they have such authority.
Any version of the Terms in a language other than English is provided for the convenience of our users, but in case of any disputes, the versions in Russian and English will have equal force.
These Terms of the platform, including various policies and agreements related to the current Terms by reference, constitute the entire agreement between the user and the platform. If the user is an Instructor, their Terms include the Marketing Policy and the Instructor Terms.
If any of the current Terms are found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the provision will be immediately replaced by other Policies and Terms that comply with current laws, while the rest of the Terms will remain in force. Even if our administration does not immediately exercise its rights or waives some rights in one situation, this does not mean that other rights will be annulled or remain unused. We reserve the right to enforce our rights at any time in the future in accordance with the Terms.
The following sections remain in force even after the expiration or termination of the Terms:

These may include power outages at the server, natural and military disasters, internet and telecommunications outages, sabotage, and government restrictions.
Limitation of Liability
There are risks that may arise from using our Services, and all users agree to accept them. They also agree not to make claims for compensation if damages or losses occur from using our platform. Legally speaking, our partners, agents, affiliates, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of income, business opportunities, profits, bodily injury, or even death, arising from the use of warranties, contracts, and product liability, even if we were previously informed of the possibility of potential damage. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of liability or exclusion of damages, so these rules may not apply to them.
Indemnification, Release from Liability, and Legal Protection
If users' actions on the platform lead to legal issues, the administration may resort to legal remedies against such individuals. Platform users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Technical Education Academy, as well as our affiliated companies, group companies, and their officers, directors, suppliers, partners, and agents from third-party claims.
Damages that Technical Education Academy may need to compensate can arise for various reasons:
- Due to materials posted on the site by users
- From the use of our Services
- Violation of the Terms
- Violation of any third-party rights by users.
Obligations to indemnify, including covering legal fees for resolving legal issues, may persist even after the termination of Services and Terms.
Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
When the term 'Technical Education Academy' is mentioned in these Terms, it refers to TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES INTERNATIONAL LIMITED, with which the user enters into a cooperation agreement upon registration. For students, the contracting organization and applicable legal norms will be determined based on the place of actual residence.
If you are a student or if you access our Services as an instructor, you enter into an agreement with TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES INTERNATIONAL LIMITED, and these Terms are governed by the laws of the UAE, without regard to conflict of law provisions. In situations where the 'Dispute Resolution' section below does not apply, the user agrees to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
Lawsuits and Notices
Any claims, regardless of their form, arising out of or in connection with the signed Agreement, cannot be filed by either party later than one (1) year after the cause of action arises, except in cases where such causes may arise after a year by law.
Notices and communications under this Agreement will be sent in writing by registered mail with a return receipt requested or by email. We will use the email address provided in the user's account, and registered users may send any notices or other communications to support@tecedu.org.
Relationship Between the Parties
Our platform confirms that it is not in a joint venture, employment, contractor, or agency relationship with other companies or individuals, nor in partnership with them.
No Assignment
Users of the platform may not transfer or assign these Terms, rights, or licenses granted to them for studying courses and other materials. For example, if a user has registered an account on the site as an employee of a company, they do not have the right to transfer their personal data to other employees. We may assign these Terms, rights, and licenses granted under them to an individual or another company without restrictions.
Nothing in the current Terms confers any rights, benefits, or legal remedies to any third party or company. Platform users agree that their account is not subject to gifting, transferring, or selling to third parties, and that all rights to the account and other rights under the Terms are annulled upon their death.
Sanctions and Export Laws
Users guarantee that they are not citizens of, or located in, any country subject to U.S. trade sanctions and embargoes (including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, or Crimea). Registered users also guarantee that they are not a company or individual subject to U.S. sanctions.
If, after registering with Technical Education Academy, you are placed on a sanctions list or subjected to other restrictions, you must notify our administration within 24 hours. We reserve the right to terminate cooperation with the user and close the account without any additional liability to the user. At the same time, obligations to Technical Education Academy not fulfilled by the student or instructor remain in force.
It is prohibited to access, transmit data, export, upload, delete any part of the Services or any related technical information, courses, and any other materials that violate U.S. export control laws, norms, and regulations, as well as those of other countries. Users agree not to upload any materials or technologies to the platform, including encryption data, the transmission of which is controlled by the government under these laws.
Dispute Resolution
Our platform's support service will be happy to resolve any issue. If we are unable to do so, and the user resides in the USA or Canada, they can refer to their local small claims courts for dispute resolution or file a claim for binding arbitration. Users cannot bring such a claim in other courts or participate in a class action lawsuit against Technical Education Academy.
This section applies only if you reside in the USA or Canada. Most disputes are usually resolved by contacting our support service. It operates in English and Russian.
Arbitration
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the user and Technical Education Academy agree to resolve all claims related to the Terms through arbitration, regardless of the type of dispute and the legal aspect. If the parties to the dispute do not submit the claim to the court, which will act as an arbitrator in such a situation, and the other party refuses to conduct the proceedings, they can turn to the court to compel arbitration (this is called mandatory arbitration). At any time, either we or the user can unilaterally close the court proceedings.
Arbitration Process
Any disputes involving amounts up to USD 10,000 will be resolved through binding arbitration only. The parties may not need to be present at the proceedings. The party choosing arbitration simply initiates the process by sending the appropriate request to the UAE court. The proceedings are governed by the Arbitration Rules of the United Arab Emirates.
In the course of the proceedings, the user and Technical Education Academy agree that the following rules will apply:
- Arbitration will be conducted by phone, online, or based on written statements – the form can be chosen by the party exercising this right for their legal protection.
- The proceedings do not require court attendance or witness appearances unless the parties to the process agree otherwise in advance.
- The court’s decision confirming the arbitration award can be issued in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Disputes involving amounts over USD 10,000 will be considered according to the rules of the arbitration courts of the United Arab Emirates regarding whether personal attendance is required during the proceedings.
Prohibition on Class Actions
Claims can only be filed on an individual basis. This means that neither the platform nor the user can file a claim as a plaintiff or as one of the plaintiffs in a class, joint, or representative action. The arbitrator also does not have the authority to combine the claims of multiple individuals into one lawsuit. The court's decision on the claim of one claimant can only apply to that claimant and not to other users of the platform. If the court decides that this provision in the "Dispute Resolution" section is not applicable to a claim, it becomes void, but the other "Terms" will continue to apply.
Changes
Notwithstanding the "Updating these Terms" section, if Technical Education Academy changes the "Dispute Resolution" section after the date on which the user agreed to these Terms, users have the right to reject any such changes. To do this, they must send us a written notice via the email address listed in their account to support@tecedu.org within 30 days of the changes taking effect.
The Notice of Disagreement with the new changes to the Terms must include the user's full name, clearly indicate the clauses or points in the new Terms (the "Dispute Resolution" section) that are unacceptable to the user, and explain why they are not acceptable. Any disputes in such a case will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the provisions of the "Dispute Resolution" section as of the date the Notice was submitted.
Updating the Terms
Technical Education Academy may periodically update the provisions of the current Terms to reflect new rules or the addition of new features to the platform. We reserve the right to do this at any time at our discretion. When making any changes, our administration will send you a notification to the email address provided during registration on the site. The new information will also be posted through our Services. All changes to the new rules will take effect on the day they are published, unless otherwise specified by us.
If users continue to use the features of Technical Education Academy even after new changes to the Terms are made, it indicates that they accept these changes. All new Terms supersede the previous Terms.
