A highly experienced Asset Integrity and Process Safety professional with a strong background in upstream oil and gas operations and more than 11 years of supervisory experience in operations leadership. Currently serves in a senior Asset Integrity and Process Safety role within one of Egypt’s leading energy companies. Brings broad operational expertise across the full upstream value chain, including natural and artificial lift oil wells, HPHT gas wells, oil processing, gas processing, gas sweetening using amine systems, gas dehydration using TEG, hydrocarbon dew-point control through turbo expander systems, and gas compression.

Also has significant experience in operational readiness for gas development projects, covering engineering support, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases. This combination of operational and process safety expertise provides a strong foundation for supporting safe, reliable, and efficient facility performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Serves as an instructor in Process Safety Management Systems under a process safety capacity-building initiative accredited by IChemE and sponsored by the Ministry of Petroleum in Egypt. Has also acted as an assessor in competency development and on-the-job training programs for newly assigned operations teams on major gas development projects, including the Zohr Project.

Has participated extensively in process safety audits led by the Ministry of Petroleum and EGPC across the Egyptian petroleum sector. Audit scope has included PSM gap assessments against the CCPS 20 Elements, physical barrier assessments, safety culture surveys, and the facilitation or participation in HAZID and Bow Tie workshops. Audit and assessment experience spans a wide range of operating environments, including upstream production companies, refineries, and petrochemical facilities.

Completed a Master’s degree in Process Safety and Loss Prevention from the University of Sheffield. Also completed all phases of a 12-month Process Safety Capacity Building Program delivered by DNV and sponsored by the Ministry of Petroleum. This intensive program included advanced training, workshops, and applied projects covering Process Safety Management based on the CCPS 20 Elements, barrier management, HSE Case development, ETA, FMECA, FTA, HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, FERA using Safeti/PHAST software, modern safety management, and auditing using ISRS methodology.

Combines deep operational knowledge, formal process safety education, audit experience, and instructional capability, making him a strong contributor to process safety leadership, asset integrity improvement, and capability development in the oil and gas sector.
