На морских ледостойких стационарных платформах (МЛСП) для добычи нефти на северном Каспии предусмотрены электро-котлы для выработки пара давлением 0,6 МПа. На электро-котлах постоянно (каждый месяц) выходят их строя секции трубчатого электронагревателя (ТЭН). Поэтому увеличение является актуальной задачей. Работа направлена на поиск путей увеличения межремонтного пробега электро-котлов на МЛСП и соответственно предложены два варианта решения вопроса.
